My Little Mr & Miss

Cami has had a rough couple of days. She is in pain from her trach surgery and though my arms ache to hold her- I cannot due to the trach. Kevin stayed at the hospital last night so that I could actually get a full nights sleep. I have been at the hospital for 3 days/nights straight and it was starting to wear on me. I was happy that he offered to go over and stay last night so that I could leave and get some laundry done and catch up on sleep. However, I still felt awful because I am her mom and shouldn't need a break. I don't need a break from her, just the hospital. I miss my son very much, but since he isn't able to be in the PICU- it is easier for my mom & step dad to keep him so that I am able to spend as much time as possible with Cami. I am very thankful to them for keeping Cody during this time. I know he is well cared for and loved and that he isn't suffering while there. Without them I do not know what I would do to be quite honest.

I hope you enjoy these pictures- they are some of my favorites. I wanted "happy" pictures today.

***Also-for those of you on facebook, a very nice blog reader named Melissa created a facebook page for Camryn. It is called "Prayers for Camryn" if you would like to join. Just log into facebook and search for "prayers for camryn" and request to join the group***

A BIG Thanks to you Melissa for doing this- I am so very grateful for everything that everyone has done for our family. From donations to help us keep our home, to blog buttons, to facebook pages, to posting the buttons on your pages to telling our story. I never thought our story would get out there like it has and we truly appreciate it all. I love all of you and I hope that you know that your help is appreciated. If you have done a kindness to our family and I haven't mentioned it- I apologize- my mind is all over the place these days. Please know that I do appreciate each and every thing that is done for our family.

  1. Christy,
Thank you for the comment on my blog. I found your blog the other day and went back and read from the beginning of Cami's birth. I am praying for her and you and your family.

Every Mom needs a break. Do not beat yourself up for that. You need to rest and recooperate too, in order to be a good Mom to both of your kiddos. You have to take care of Christy too!
I am praying like crazy for you guys!!
    Cari

  2. Just came across your blog and have been looking through it. So sorry for all you've been through. Cami is very lucky to have such a loving and devoted family to fight this illness alongside her. By the way, I am Mormon, too! Will be praying for your sweet girl.
